I have used this type of espresso pot for decades. This one is poor for several reasons. The handle is flimsy and seems likely to break before long. To be fair this is now also true of the more expensive Bialettis, but this one is poorer than those. It is slightly smaller than the Bialetti twelve cup pot. It is supplied with a clear neoprene seal rather the usual thicker rubber one. Water sizzled out when the pressure started to build up so I replaced it with a rubber one. It still sizzles out so it must be just a poor fit. The lid doesn’t fit down into place properly so when the final coffee spurts happen it splashes out onto the hob, or you if you are careless. The holes in the supplied perforated disk are too big so you get a sludge in the bottom on the cup. I have replaced it with a spare Bialetti one.
It might be cheap but it is a poor buy. Probably too late to return it now, but I won’t buy another.

I bought this to replace a Bialetti maker. This is a lot cheaper but I have found it relaible. The pot comes with an extra rubber seal. At first it seemed to stick a bit when screwing together, but after a few uses it seemed to be smoother. The coffe it makes is good and its large capacity means you can brew two average size mugs in one go- great for a coffee addled household.
The components are easy to take apart to clean and spares seem easily available online. I have had this pot about 4 months and am pleased, have had to tighten up the black gripper on top of the lid sometimes, otherwise no problems.
Great for the price

We purchased this item because in the Amazon description it stated it it was suitable for all heat sources including induction hobs. Quite obviously it wasn’t suitable, it even stated such on the box!!!!
